Red sandhill

Near Lake Moore there is a red sandhill that appears unexpectedly as you walk through the saltbush vegetation that surrounds the salt lake. The hill or headland in the distance is covered with low grey-green trees and vegetation, which makes the colour of the red sandhill in the foreground more surprising and intense.

I’ve used gouache and pencil on paper, and it’s 10cms x 10cms.
