Another view of Mongers lake

Looking Towards Mongers Lake 75x45cm pencil

This drawing is done looking down from a small rise of rocks (the darker section at the bottom is another band of the rocky outcrop) across the flats of Mongers Lake where you can see bands of low trees and sections of tussocky grasses. There were several stretches of water, reed banks and mud flats, and on the far side, low sandhills. It’s one of those landscapes that appear at first glance to be pretty nondescript, but the more I looked at it, the more interesting it became.

The drawing is 75cm x 45cm, done in a variety of different pencils.
