Regrowth after Bushfire

regrowth after bushfire

This drawing is a depiction of the regrowth of vegetation after a bushfire in the scrublands of Mt Gibson Station in the mid-west of Western Australia. The blackened sticks of the burnt plants poke up above the new regrowth. The greeny-yellow regrowth slowly grows up to the height of the original plants. Sometimes you can see the remnants of burnt plants for many years – a salutary reminder of the fierce fires that can burn through the bush.
