This drawing is of a line of beach grasses growing on the edge of a beach. The sandy bank where the line of grasses are growing has been undermined by the wind and waves. The grass roots have been exposed and some plants have fallen down the sandy slope. I was intrigued by the orange growth at the bottom of the plants and the silvery tops of the grasses that wave around in the wind. The vegetation on the hillside behind is a dense dark green adding drama to the white sandy beach.
The beach is Shelley Beach at Torbay in south Western Australia.
