A Paddock in the wheatbelt

Goomalling paddock

We were driving north from the wheatbelt town of Northam, just east of Perth, and I became intrigued by a belt of small scrubby vegetation that grew in a line in a paddock. There was also a power line running through the paddock which I found an interesting element in a fairly boring landscape. As it was summer, the grass was dry and pale and the line of scrubby trees was a dark green – almost black. This is the drawing I have made of the paddock near Goomalling.
