I’ve just read about these fantastic carpets made as imagined maps. I found it on the website CityLab which picks up all sorts of interesting articles about architecture and urban life around the world. Landcarpets are the work of Beijing-based architect Florian Pucher and graphic designer Sophia Liu Bo.
I love the way they have created a landscape that is part map and part sculpture with a soft and engaging look. The idea of creating these imagined landscapes is something I try to do in my work though in a very flat way!
